Three weeks down, and the fantasy rollercoaster is officially rolling. We’ve already had breakouts, busts, injuries, and a few what the heck just happened? moments. By now, your roster either looks like a powerhouse… or like it’s being held together with duct tape. Either way, lineup decisions don’t get any easier. But have no fear, the Ballers are here! Andy, Mike, and Jason are here with their Starts of the Week:

Andy’s Starts of the Week

QB – Jordan Love vs DAL

The counting stats aren’t doing Jordan Love any favors right now, but don’t get it twisted, the ceiling is still there. Green Bay played scared against Cleveland last week and paid for it. Before that? Love was leading the league in aDOT while ripping it downfield. This week? The Packers get the absolute dream matchup against one of the worst defenses against the pass: the Dallas Cowboys. Just how bad are they? Dead last in yards per attempt allowed, in CPOE allowed, and in explosive pass play rate. This matchup is also the second-highest implied team total of the slate. The Ballers collectively have him ranked as QB6 this week. If you’ve been waiting for the Jordan Love breakout game, this is the spot.

RB – Omarion Hampton @ NYG

It’s officially Omarion Hampton SZN. We knew it was only a matter of time before the rookie popped off. Week 3 just confirmed it: Hampton handled 26 opportunities, 129 total yards, and an RB6 finish. That’s not fluky volume, that’s bell-cow volume. He’s now the third rookie RB since 2012 to clear a 75% snap share through three weeks, joining Saquon Barkley and Najee Harris. And speaking of Najee? He’s out for the year (Achilles), which means no more vultures. This is Hampton’s backfield. You couldn’t ask for a better matchup this week. The Giants are a defense bleeding production to RBs:

  • 2nd-most rushing yards allowed
  • 2nd-most yards after contact allowed (Hampton’s specialty)
  • 2nd-highest success rate vs man/gap runs (a Greg Roman staple)

With the Chargers’ offense rolling, his elite workload, and an ideal matchup, you can’t leave Hampton on the bench. Get him into your lineups!

WR – Matthew Golden vs DAL

We’ve been waiting for the rookie’s breakout, and the stars are aligning. Golden’s route participation keeps climbing—44% in Week 1, 65% in Week 2, and up to 71% in Week 3. And this week? He gets the perfect storm. Everything lining up for Jordan Love’s big game also funnels to his first-round wideout. Dallas has been a disaster defending deep passes. They’ve given up 444 yards on throws of 20+ air yards per FantasyPts’ Graham Barfield. Andy called a TD (although unofficially) for him last week — and if he hadn’t stepped out of bounds on that bomb from Love, he would’ve had it. This week? Andy’s running it back. He’s predicting Golden to find the endzone. Easy play this week.

TE – Hunter Henry vs CAR

Two TDs last week, and the arrow is still pointing up. Hunter Henry has quietly become Drake Maye’s most dependable target, leading the Patriots in targets per game (7), target share (20%), and receiving yards per game (55). Only Trey McBride and Tyler Warren can say the same among TEs through three weeks. Now he gets a juicy matchup against a Panthers defense that’s already surrendered the 8th-most fantasy points to TEs. With his red-zone role and steady volume, Henry has both the floor and the ceiling you want. If you’re streaming, stop searching. Henry is your guy this week.

Jason’s Starts of the Week

Sep 21, 2025; Chicago, Illinois, USA; <a rel=

QB – Caleb Williams @LV

Caleb Williams is finally proving he belongs. He’s currently the QB3 on the season and has taken another step forward in Year 2. The difference? His legs. Williams has piled up 79 rushing yards and a TD on nine scrambles, and only Josh Allen, Patrick Mahomes, and Jalen Hurts have scored more fantasy points on scrambles so far. Now he gets a dream matchup against a Raiders defense that’s been a sieve: 28th in Expected Points per Pass Attempt, 25th in passing yards allowed, and 25th in fantasy points allowed to QBs. Locked-in production with rushing upside and a soft secondary? Williams is a smash start in Week 4.

RB – Chuba Hubbard @NE

Don’t overlook Chuba Hubbard. He’s quietly the RB13 on the season, averaging a strong 19 opportunities per game. That puts him in elite company: just one of eight RBs with 40+ carries and 10+ receptions through three weeks. He’s even on pace for a wild 79 receptions this year. The matchup in New England looks tough on paper, but the Patriots have quietly been vulnerable to RBs through the air, allowing the 4th-most receiving yards to the position. With Tet McMillan banged up, Hubbard should see 4–5 targets on top of his steady rushing workload. Who would you rather throw the ball to: Chubba or Legette? Exactly. Volume this good is hard to fade.

WR – Davante Adams vs IND

Year after year, Davante Adams just keeps delivering. He’s currently the WR11, and through three weeks, he’s on pace for 1,207 yards and 11 TDs. Absolutely insane. Or is it? Over the last nine seasons, Adams has averaged almost the exact same line (1,213 yards, 11 TDs). Nothing has changed. This week? Rams vs Colts carries the highest over/under of the week (49.5), with L.A. sitting as 3.5-point home favorites. Adams is in line for another vintage performance in what projects to be a shootout. If you drafted him, this is exactly the kind of week you had in mind.

TE – Jake Ferguson vs GB

Jake Ferguson is off to a historic start. Through three weeks, he’s racked up 27 receptions. That’s the most by any TE to open a season since 2016. To put it in perspective: the only player in the entire NFL with more catches right now is Puka Nacua. That’s it. In terms of yardage, just one TE has more than Ferguson: Tyler Warren (dawg). End of list. With CeeDee Lamb sidelined, Ferguson becomes even more needed and necessary in this Dallas offense. Dak’s security blanket is locked in as a top option this week against Green Bay, regardless of the matchup.

Mike’s Starts of the Week

Sep 21, 2025; Inglewood, California, USA; <a rel=Denver Broncos offensive tackle Garett Bolles (72) and Denver Broncos quarterback Bo Nix (10) react afte4r a play during the first half against the Los Angeles Chargers at SoFi Stadium. QB – Bo Nix @ CIN

The fantasy points haven’t shown up for Nix yet, but this matchup with the Bengals sets up as his best shot so far to deliver. Nix is currently the QB21 through Week 3, averaging just 178 passing yards per game. Mike doesn’t love that. Still, the Ballers have him ranked as a top-10 QB heading into Monday Night Football. Why? Well, the Broncos carry a juicy 26-point implied team total (tied for 4th-highest of the week), and Nix’s rushing floor remains intact with 6+ attempts and 24 yards per game. A high implied total paired with a QB who can run? That’s the Konami Code for fantasy production. The Bengals have been generous to QBs, allowing the 6th-most completions while ranking 27th in pass success rate. Nix is a sneaky smash start in Week 4.

RB – JK Dobbins @ CIN

Mike is doubling down on the Broncos. Consistency has been the name of the game for J.K. Dobbins. The past three weeks, he has finished as the RB13, RB15, and RB12. He’s also had a TD in every game so far. RJ Harvey may eventually carve out more of a role in this Bronco’s offense, but for now, Dobbins is running the show. As I mentioned earlier, this game has the 4th-highest implied total. The Broncos are also a 7.5-point home favorite. What does it mean? Garbage time production and controlling the clock with JK Dobbins on the ground. The Bengals’ defense ranks in the bottom five against the run. We just saw Jordan Mason run all over them last week. The game script and matchup are perfect for Dobbins to smash in Week 4.

WR – Jakobi Meyers vs CHI

Don’t let last week’s four-target blip fool you, Jakobi Meyers is as steady as they come. He still turned that limited volume into 63 yards, keeping a streak alive that only five WRs can claim: Puka Nacua, Jaxon Smith-Njigba, Keenan Allen, Quentin Johnston, and Meyers are the only receivers with 60+ yards in each of their first three games. Impressive stuff. The Bears rank 30th vs fantasy WRs, giving up a league-high 17.2 yards per reception to opposing wideouts. This is not the week to sit Meyers.

TE – T.J. Hockenson vs PIT (in Ireland )

Jordan Addison’s return might give you pause to fire up Hockenson, but don’t let it. Hock Daddy remains a locked-in play. He finally broke through with a TD last week and continues to command a 20% target share, the 6th-best among all TEs. And while it’s debatable among scholars, there’s reason to believe Hock draws extra power from being closer to his Scandinavian homeland—Norway to Ireland is less than a 3-hour flight. Minnesota to Ireland? A cool 3,700 miles. Advantage: Hock. The matchup is sweet too: the Steelers just allowed 90 yards to Hunter Henry and are dealing with a ton of injuries to their secondary. East start for Mike.
