Overall, it was a beautiful weekend for football in Week 7 (weather-wise, that is; I’m still broken-hearted over Jayden Daniels only being in one drive). With no bye weeks this weekend, we are up for a full slate of games. How many will have weather impacts? I’m glad you asked, dear reader. Look below to find out more! Oh, and while you are at it, go read “Whether Weather Really Matters.”
Early Afternoon Games
Baltimore Ravens @ Cleveland Browns
LOW impact. It’s going to be a nice afternoon in Cleveland. Mostly clear skies, no chance of rain, winds in the single digits, and temps during game time in the upper-50s.
Arizona Cardinals @ Miami Dolphins
MEDIUM impact. Mostly sunny skies throughout the game with no chance of rain. What you’ll want to keep an eye on is the wind. Sustained speeds will be in the lower teens with gusts up to the low-20s. Winds won’t be enough to mess with the passing game but expect some impacts with the kickers.
New York Jets @ New England Patriots
LOW impact. Great conditions in Foxborough on Sunday with mostly sunny skies, temps in the low-50s, and winds in the single digits.
Atlanta Falcons @ Tampa Bay Buccaneers
LOW impact. High temps during game time will be in the low-80s with light winds and mostly cloudy skies. No concern about any rain, start all your studs.
Green Bay Packers @ Jacksonville Jaguars
LOW impact. Another beautiful game down in Florida. Mostly sunny skies, temperatures in the mid-80s with light winds.
Philadelphia Eagles @ Cincinnati Bengals
LOW impact. Sunny skies, calm winds, and temperatures in the mid-60s. Perfect autumn football weather!
Late Afternoon Games
Buffalo Bills @ Seattle Seahawks
HIGH impact. It will be a wet one in Seattle. Thankfully with the retractable roof, most of the rain will get stopped but some rain and wind will be impacting the game. Rain chances currently sit at 100% during game time, with winds in the mid to upper teens gusting up to the mid-20s. What does this mean as far as fantasy impacts? It will likely impact the passing game and field goals while creating more of an emphasis on the run. Remember weather is just one part of the fantasy calculus, don’t bench your studs unless you’ve got a viable option. Check pre-game conditions as well, the stadium will (hopefully) prevent conditions from being too impacted.
Chicago Bears @ Washington Commanders
LOW impact. Sunny skies! Highs in the low-60s with light winds. Start all your studs.
Carolina Panthers @ Denver Broncos
LOW impact. Very nice day in Denver for the game. Sunny skies, high temps in the upper-70s, with light winds.
Sunday Night Game
Dallas Cowboys @ San Francisco 49ers
MEDIUM impact. There will be some rain around the area in the morning but I’m expecting it to clear up by game time. The biggest lingering impact will be winds throughout the area, with sustained winds in the mid-teens gusting to the mid-20s. With winds of that speed, I don’t foresee much of a passing game impact but it’ll be felt with field goals.
Monday Night Game
New York Giants @ Pittsburgh Steelers
LOW impact. Partly cloudy skies, no significant chance of rain, and light winds. Temps will be in the upper-40s which seems cold but they’ll be fine. Expect some increased heaters along the sidelines.
Weather is a dynamic thing and can change! Keep an eye on your local weather source leading up to kickoff to see if anything changes significantly. Good luck!
