Quarterbacks
Jalen Hurts – $8500
Hurts offers a rushing floor that’s hard to beat in cash every week. He’s already shown two different game scripts this season: an aggressive passing attack against Green Bay, where he threw for 278 yards on 8.2 YPA, and a more conservative passing approach against Atlanta, where he totaled just 183 yards but rushed for 85 – even better for fantasy. Even in games where the Eagles control the pace, Hurts’ rushing baseline (59 rushing yards per game this season) keeps him afloat for cash purposes at an elevated salary. This matchup against the Saints has one of the highest totals on the slate (49 points), and is one we’ll come back to time and time again in this article. With the Saints’ offense looking as sharp as any in the NFL, Hurts will likely need to keep pace for all four quarters. Hurts currently ranks ninth among QBs in the NFL in rushing yards and sixth in fantasy points per dropback, so given the floor and ceiling combo, you can happily pay up if you want to.
