Rookie Standouts

Jeremiyah Love

Tyler Allgeier has seen fewer opportunities in each game this season after starting with 19 total opportunities in Week 1. Jeremiyah Love’s start to the season shows why we should be patient with high-profile prospects as dynasty managers. The Ballers are convinced of Jeremiyah Love’s breakout for this season, but Love’s dynasty stock is back on track after taking a slight dip in the first two weeks of the season.

 

Kenyon Sadiq

The New York Jets relied on Garrett Wilson and Kenyon Sadiq in Week 3 after Breece Hall went down with a quad injury. Sadiq showcased the athleticism that had the dynasty community drafting him in the first round of 2026 rookie drafts, ending with 7/105/1. His 22% target share in Week 3 was higher than Trey McBride’s, and his production should increase while Hall is out.

Carnell Tate

Cam Ward consistently targeted Carnell Tate in Week 3, proving that Tate could provide for your dynasty squad even if the Titans cannot score until late in the fourth quarter. His 26% target share ranked second amongst rookies this week, only behind KC Concepcion Jr. Tate finished with 8.8 half-PPR fantasy points, with six receptions for 58 yards. Ward and Tate still have the chance to be an elite duo, but dynasty managers of both should expect growing pains throughout the season.

Chris Bell

Caleb Douglas’ absence gave Chris Bell an opportunity to be a focal point in Miami’s offense. Bell tied with Greg Dulcich for the second-highest target share on the team at 20%, behind Malik Washington. Bell led the team in receiving with 67 yards, most of which came from a 44-yard in-breaking route in the second quarter. De’Von Achane’s torn ACL gives the Dolphins reason to be a high-volume passing offense, so Bell and Douglas should both have chances to showcase their skill sets this season.

Stock Risers

Jalon Daniels

Baker Mayfield is recovering from a dislocated thumb on his throwing hand and is expected to miss at least three weeks. Jalon Daniels steps in as Tampa Bay’s backup QB and will get the chance to showcase his skills as an NFL QB. He was a 2026 UDFA after spending six years at Kansas. The most likely scenario, as his non-existent draft capital suggests, is that he is not a quality NFL QB. However, it is not often that you can find a starting rookie QB on your dynasty waiver wire in Week 4. I spent the majority of my FAAB in 2QB leagues on Daniels, hoping that he could prove why he belongs on an NFL field.

J.J. McCarthy

The New York Giants acquired J.J. McCarthy from the Minnesota Vikings for a 2027 fifth-round pick. McCarthy going from a first-round QB in 2024 to being traded for a 2027 fifth-round pick shows how much his value has plummeted over the past two years. He struggled on the field with the Vikings last season, but he could be given more freedom for mistakes in New York this season. The Giants’ star players are all relatively young, allowing New York to focus on the future of their roster. McCarthy could be worth taking a flier on if you believe in his talent, opportunity for growth with the Giants, or if the McCarthy manager in your league is trying to ship him off at a low cost.

Ollie Gordon II / Jaylen Wright

De’Von Achane’s torn ACL gives both Ollie Gordon II and Jaylen Wright the opportunity to become a weekly RB2 this season. Wright is listed as the Dolphins’ RB1 now that Achane is gone, but is dealing with a foot injury that kept him out of Week 3. Gordon II ran an inefficient 17/41 on the ground against the Chiefs, but caught three passes for 14 yards. The reality is, Miami’s backfield is likely to be run by committee between Gordon II and Wright on a bad offense with a win total of around 3.5 on most books. If you have a win-now team and need depth at RB, either of these backs could be strong trade-for candidates, but do not expect too much from the Dolphins’ backfield this season.

Stock Fallers

Drake Maye

The New England Patriots’ offense has underperformed this season in large part due to “Drake Maybe’s” inconsistent play. Turnovers have been a problem for Maye since the start of last year’s playoffs, and his stock has dropped rapidly this season. He came into the season widely viewed as a top-five QB, both in redraft and dynasty leagues. Maye is now on waiver wires in some redraft leagues and has become benchable for QBs like Jared Goff. I would give it a few more weeks before sounding all alarms on Maye, but his level of play against high-quality defenses has been a concern over the past year.

 

Marshawn Lloyd

The Green Bay Packers’ offensive line has been the worst in the NFL over the first three weeks of the season. This puts Marshawn Lloyd (as well as Kaleb Johnson and Chris Brooks) in a tough situation to provide fantasy value. However, no Packers RB has been playable this season. They have 46 carries for 146 yards combined. Green Bay has not been able to run the football so far this season, which is partially why Matthew Golden and Christian Watson were risers last week. The Packers have made three veteran OL signings to address the issue, but you can comfortably sit Lloyd on your bench until he shows you why he should start, even in deeper leagues.

 

Prospect Performances

Jeremiah Smith

The debate over who should be drafted at 1.01 in 2027 SuperFlex dynasty rookie drafts continues, as Jeremiah Smith recorded an astonishing 12/217/4 stat line against Illinois. The only thing that would negatively affect Smith’s dynasty value at this point is being drafted to an NFL team with a horrendous QB situation.

Jadan Baugh

Last week’s marquee matchup between Jadan Baugh and Kewan Lacy unfortunately disappointed because of Lacy missing the game due to injury. However, Baugh held up his end of the bargain, recording 29/142/3 on the ground to defeat #4 Ole Miss. Baugh has shown why he should be viewed as the RB1 in the 2027 draft class, and his stock should only rise with Lacy and Ahmad Hardy off the field.

Next Week’s Marquee Prospect Matchup

Miami @ Clemson

None of the players are ranked atop their position matchup against each other this week, but the matchup between “The U” and Clemson is intriguing. Miami’s offense as a whole has been rising in 2027 mock drafts, as Darian Mensah leads the team at QB with an 89% completion rate. Mark Fletcher Jr. is also a name to watch at RB, as he is a borderline top-five RB in this class. Clemson’s WR duo of Bryant Wesco Jr. and T.J. Moore are both names to remember for draft season, as they are likely both day-two picks.
