This mock draft used the following settings: 12 rounds of 12 teams, 0.5 PPR starting 1QB, 2RB, 2WR, 1TE, 1 FLEX, and four bench spots. Mike will be picking from the 6th spot with Andy not far behind him at the 8th, and Jason bringing up the rear with the last pick, Mr. 1.12.
Round 1
Mike- RB Jahmyr Gibbs (DET), Andy- RB Derrick Henry (BAL), Jason- WR Puka Nacua (LAR)
At 1.04, Christian McCaffrey comes off the board to the Baller’s editor extraordinaire, Julia. Sorry, Mike, your guy didn’t make it to you. The Hitman pivots to Jahmyr Gibbs, which honestly isn’t a bad consolation prize. Gibbs was on an absolute heater to close last season, finishing 2nd in fantasy points per game among RBs. Andy locks in with the proven powerhouse that is King Derrick Henry, opting not to take the gamble with what may be with rookie Ashton Jeanty. Can you blame him? Until Derrick Henry actually shows signs of slowing down, you can’t fade him. Per PlayerProfiler, Henry led the league in breakaway runs and explosive rating last season. Some dudes are just built different. Finally, with the 1.12, Jason grabs Puka Nacua, who is slipping in drafts thanks to concerns about Matthew Stafford’s back. If Stafford stays upright, Jason just landed elite production at a discount. We love a good value pick to close Round 1.
Round 2
Jason- WR Nico Collins (HOU), Andy- RB Devon Achane (MIA), Mike- WR AJ Brown (PHI)
Jason goes double wideout and grabs Nico Collins to kick off Round 2 – a little zero RB strategy is in play. Meanwhile, Andy has the complete opposite high-T with a full RB approach by adding De’Von Achane at the 2.5 to his Derrick Henry. Now he’s got speed and power. Andy’s decided he’s just going to run all over his opponents every week. Mike decides to take a balanced approach with his pick of WR AJ Brown at pick 2.7 to add to his RB pick of Gibbs in Round 1.
Round 3
Mike– RB James Cook (BUF), Andy- WR Marvin Harrison (ARI), Jason- QB Lamar Jackson (BAL)
Round 3 is when the TEs start flying off the board. Brock Bowers goes immediately to Jake to start the round, followed by Trey McBride at 1.05 to Borg. George Kittle practically almost sneaks in as well, but we’ll get to that later. Then comes the shocker: Mike takes RB James Cook over Kenneth Walker?! What’s going on here? Mike has been the conductor of the Ken “Bone” Walker hype train for months. I thought that would be an easy pick for him there, but maybe all the shares are starting to spook him a bit. I mean, they don’t call him the bone daddy for nothing. Andy finally gets his WR1 in Marvin Harrison. And Jason? He’s still punting RBs and instead takes the first QB off the board: Lamar Jackson.
Round 4
Jason– TE George Kittle (SF), Andy– WR Terry McLaurin (WAS), Mike- WR Tetairoa Mcmillan (CAR)
Jason’s back on the clock; this has to be the moment he finally grabs an RB, right? WRONG. Somebody get the smelling salts because he went George Kittle instead. Instead of filling that RB hole, he snatched up the last elite TE on the board. At 4.05, Andy grabs the freshly paid Terry McLaurin to anchor his WR room, and just two picks later, Mike adds some rookie juice with Tetairoa McMillan. Josh Allen, Jalen Hurts, and Jayden Daniels all come off the board this round. If you’re hunting for an elite QB, Round 4 is shaping up to be the sweet spot.
Round 5
Mike– RB Breece Hall (NYJ), Andy- WR Davante Adams (LAR), Jason- RB Tony Pollard (TEN)
Mike reluctantly clicks the button on Breece Hall, but at this point in the draft, that’s a straight-up value pick. Andy follows it up by snagging Davante Adams, who’s set up for a big year in Los Angeles with the Rams. And finally… stop the presses… Jason Moore has an RB! Tony Pollard, welcome aboard as RB1 for Jason’s imaginary fantasy squad. With Tyjae Spears on IR to start the season, Pollard opens the year with a pretty clear backfield – not a bad pivot this late in the draft for your first RB.
Round 6
Jason- RB Kaleb Johnson (PIT), Andy- WR Rome Odunze (CHI), Mike- WR Emeka Egbuka (BUC)
Jason double-taps RB, locking in rookie sensation Kaleb Johnson. He’s been hyping Kaleb all offseason, so this pick shocks absolutely no one. Andy pushes his chips in on WR Rome Odunze, while the Hitman grabs Emeka Egbuka, who is all the buzz right now. You can’t scroll social media without tripping over another Egbuka highlight or coach hype piece.
Round 7
Mike- WR Jerry Jeudy (CLE), Andy- TE Sam Laporta (DET), Jason- WR Deebo Samuel (WAS)
With Joe Flacco named the starter in Cleveland, Mike grabs Jerry Jeudy with the 7.06. It definitely feels a lot easier to click the draft button on Browns again. Andy follows up with TE Sam LaPorta, while Jason bets on a change of scenery sparking a Deebo Samuel bounce-back. He probably remembers what Kliff Kingsbury did for guys like Rondale Moore and Christian Kirk.
Round 8
Jason- RB Austin Ekeler (WAS), Andy- RB Javonte Williams (DAL), Mike- QB Dak Prescott (DAL)
Jason finally adds some veteran stability to his backfield with Austin Ekeler. With Brian Robinson out the door, there’s an opportunity for Ekeler to feast if he’s still capable… and well, if Bill Croskey-Merritt doesn’t take over. Andy follows it up with Javonte Williams, hoping the move to Dallas gives him a fresh start. And at QB, Mike locks in Dak Prescott, who, with the addition of George Pickens and the departure of Micah Parsons, should equal some insane fantasy production. Don’t hate that at pick 8.07.
Round 9
Mike- RB Tank Bigsby (JAX), Andy- WR Cooper Kupp (SEA), Jason- RB Trey Benson (ARI)
Mike adds some depth at the RB position with Tank Bigsby. Andy takes a swing on WR Cooper Kupp, who now finds himself in Seattle, and Jason continues to build his RB room with RB Trey Benson, who is getting talked up not only by coaches but also by James Conner, who sees him as someone who will see an increased role.
Round 10
Jason- WR Keenan Allen (LAC), Andy- RB Ollie Gordon (MIA), Mike- WR Luther Burden (CHI)
Jason goes with proven reliability in Keenan Allen, still a target machine even as he racks up the mileage. Back in L.A. with Justin Herbert slinging passes, that’s a clear upgrade over Caleb Williams. Andy takes a shot on rookie RB Ollie Gordon in Miami, as the preseason buzz is real, and with itty bitty Achane’s durability questions plus Jaylen Wright already banged up, Gordon’s path to touches is wide open. Gordon’s only one season removed from a 1,732-yard rushing season. Andy might’ve just landed a sneaky league-winner. Meanwhile, Mike leans on upside with Luther Burden, betting on the rookie’s playmaking ability to shine in Chicago.
Round 11
Mike- TE Jake Ferguson (DAL), Andy- QB Jordan Love (GB), Jason- WR Jayden Higgins (HOU)
Mike grabs TE Jake Ferguson to stack with Dak, doubling down on what will be a pass-heavy Cowboys offense. Andy decides to give Love a shot, and Jason pairs Nico Collins with rookie WR Jayden Higgins, who may need some time before we see any fantasy relevance from him. But if you can hold tight, the talent is there.
