For the purposes of this article, I’ll be highlighting plays that I believe have upside for large field GPPs at reduced roster percentages, but that doesn’t mean we can’t sprinkle in some cash plays into our GPP lineups as well. In fact, most of the best tournament lineups feature some combination of high rostered plays as well as lower rostered plays. For my full breakdown on DraftKings for Week 4 cash games, be sure to check out my DraftKings cash picks here.
When building your GPP lineups, be sure to reference our Roster Percentage Report as well as our DFS Rankings in order to identify plays who have a solid projection yet may be undervalued by the field. In order to compete in GPPs, we’ll want to utilize a combination of cash plays and GPP plays in order to build solid lineups without sacrificing too much in the way of projection. Quarterbacks
C.J. Stroud $7,000 vs. JAX
In 2023, Stroud absolutely crushed at home and against bad defenses. Welcome to Houston, Jacksonville. The Jags enter Week 3 with Doug Pederson coaching for his job. Their D ranks 30th against fantasy QBs when adjusting for schedule and 30th in EPA per pass attempt while generating the league’s sixth-lowest sack rate. It’s a bummer that Stroud won’t have Tank Dell (Ribs) in this game, but he’s still got Nico Collins, Stefon Diggs and Dr. Schultz. I expect Stroud to have time to pick apart this defense, and he acts as leverage off a potentially chalky Cam Akers, assuming Joe Mixon (ankle) is out.
